Founder

Elitesphere was founded by David Mugisha. David is an aircraft maintenance engineer with 9 years of experience in the field of aircraft maintenance. David is a holder of an Airframe & Gas Turbine engine licence issued by The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and a Part 66 B1 licence issued by KIWA Netherlands. For the last three years, David has specialized in performing aircraft maintenance certification on Airframe and Gas Turbine Engines.

Aviation Compliance Consultant

Mary Sitienei is an aircraft maintenance engineer licensed by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. She has training and experience on DHC 8 series and the Textron 208 series. Currently, Mary is a certifying personnel on both aircraft. She is well-versed in compliance with aviation regulations and highly skilled in audits and consultancy in the aviation field. Mary has 9 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and 5 years of experience in aviation quality systems.

Statement from the founder

I have worked on turbo propeller aircraft and turbo fans during base maintenance and line maintenance work. I have worked away from the base (outstation) for months on various occasions, ensuring continuing airworthiness and operation of the aircraft. Moreover, I have gone for recovery duties whenever an aircraft gets a defect away from the base that prevents it from continuing operations.

I have also experienced the challenges people face when starting up in this career concerning attachment, internship, employment and the process we undergo before we are licensed as aircraft maintenance personnel. I am well aware that the process can be draining physically, mentally and financially. Accordingly, I decided to come up with a space that can make this journey an enjoyable experience for you, albeit daunting.
